Is it Time to Buy a Gun?

I am amazed that Congress rejected the Bailout Bill today. These "high and mighty" politicians have no idea what they are doing. There has not been any lending to anyone for the past two weeks -- that in and of itself assured we were going into a deep recession. Now we are assured that it will go on for another week or two (or longer) and very likely we are heading toward a depression.

The average business cannot survive without access to capital for working capital. Seasonal firms are building inventory for the holidays or winter month needs. My job puts me in front of people throughout the financial services sectors and we are in unprecedented times.

Now congress has "Herbert Hoover'd" us -- just when they should be loose with fiscal policy, they have become tight with the purse strings. We are likely to see 10-12% unemployment, bread lines and riots in the streets.

A gun in the house is not looking so bad anymore. I can't believe that it has come to this!!!

Here is the actual vote on the bill. YOU SHOULD ALL vote out any of the bums that voted NO on this Bill.

Democrats Ayes 140 Nos 95
Republican Ayes 65 Nos 133

Here are the actual NO votes on the bill, PLEASE vote AGAINST any of them for reelection -- in between trips to the bread and the milk lines.
